Additional renovation – May 2003
The Clinton Public Library is an older Carnegie building constructed
in the 1930s. The addition and remodeling involved a reorganization
of the interior and an expansion of all library services. The primary goals of the design were to increase the size while maintaining
the architectural style of the original building and improve handicapped
accessibility.
In 2002, KRM was invited to renovate and expand the building again
by adding space on the second floor above the children’s department.
This provided space for a new Teen Area, Genealogy Area, and Administrative
offices.
